EnsoLinks Proprietary Software License
Effective date:
Copyright (c) 2026 EnsoLinks copyright holders. All rights reserved.
Scope and ownership
This license applies to the EnsoLinks software, source code, and accompanying documentation distributed with it (the "Software"), except for third-party materials covered by their own licenses. The EnsoLinks copyright holder or holders granting this license are referred to as the "Licensor".
The Software is proprietary. Ownership of the Software and its intellectual property remains with the Licensor. Only the permissions stated below are granted. Access to source code does not grant permission to modify or redistribute it.
Permitted use
The Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to install and run an authorized copy of the Software for your personal use or your organization's internal business use, subject to these terms.
You may make copies needed to install, run, or back up the Software for those purposes. You may use the accompanying documentation for those purposes. You may share a link to an authorized EnsoLinks distribution page.
These permissions apply to the version distributed with this license. They do not grant access to separately licensed products or future paid features.
Restrictions
Unless the Licensor gives you prior written permission, or applicable law permits it despite these restrictions, you may not:
- Publish, distribute, sell, rent, lend, sublicense, or otherwise provide copies of the Software or its source code to other people or organizations.
- Modify the Software or create derivative products from it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
- Remove or alter copyright, license, or attribution notices.
These restrictions do not prevent you from using the Software's intended features to organize, edit, import, or export your own data. They do not limit rights that applicable law grants you to make necessary backup copies, study the Software, or obtain interoperability information.
This license grants no permission to use the EnsoLinks name, logo, or other branding to identify or promote another product. Lawful references to EnsoLinks are not restricted.
Third-party materials and your data
Third-party libraries, fonts, and other materials remain governed by their own licenses. Those licenses control your rights to the third-party materials if they conflict with this license. Their copyright and attribution notices must be preserved as those licenses require.
This license does not transfer ownership of your bookmarks, notes, sessions, exports, or other data to the Licensor.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Software is provided "as is" without additional warranties, including warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation or fitness for a particular purpose.
For business users only, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor is not liable for lost profits or indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Software.
Nothing in this license excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory consumer rights and warranties required by law remain unaffected.
Local data and backups
The EnsoLinks extension stores application data in your Chrome profile. Keep separate exports of important data. Local recovery snapshots are not independent backups. Removing the extension, deleting the profile, or clearing EnsoLinks data can delete locally stored information. Saved sessions may expire according to your settings. This information does not change your legal rights or excuse a failure to meet obligations imposed by law.

Exporting important data
EnsoLinks JSON exports include Library bookmarks and saved Workspace sessions. They do not include settings, current browser-window details, Trash, or search index data. Keep separate exports of the bookmarks and sessions you want to retain.
